Expanding on their multi-year strategic partnership, Inuka Bacote-Capiga and James Baxter have launched a new production company to develop and produce film and television projects from dynamic storytellers.

Inuka is a recovering attorney with 15+ years of experience in the entertainment industry. She develops and produces original unscripted and scripted content for digital, TV, and film through her company, Big Couch Entertainment.

Inuka’s producing credits include the Oscar award winning documentary SUMMER OF SOUL, and the feature film THE 40-YEAR- OLD VERSION, which garnered her an Independent Spirit Award nomination.

She executive produced the feature documentary BEBA, a 2021 TIFF Doc selection which was acquired by NEON. She also co-executive produced the Daytime Emmy winning LGBTQ series, EASTSIDERS.

She recently served as SVP of Development & Production for Hot Sauce Productions which had a multi-year first look deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Inuka is an affiliate of The Blackhouse Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for diverse content creators.She is a member of the Producers Guild of America.

James founded J6 Films in 2008 and was dedicated to create a roster of film directors and like minded creators. His passion was to seek out emerging talent to nurture ideas and open doors. He has produced work for clients such as Universal Records, Paramount Pictures, Sony Vison, BBC, Channel 5, ITV, Sky, BMG and EMI Records to name a few. Over the last 15 years James has worked on multiple music videos for the likes of Robbie Williams, Robyn , Kygo, Röyksopp, Seinabo Sey, Kill J and Of Mice and Men.

James has also Edit Produced music documentaries for the likes of Dolly Parton and Harry Styles. Whilst also edit producing the BAFTA nominated BBC Short Comedy 'Where it ends’ The Channel 5 Drama 'The Inheritance' & ‘The Feud'  through the post production facility The Church he Co-Founded. 

In 2024 he went onto produce the acclaimed feature documentary Harder than the Rock which world premiered at Sheffield Doc Festival and was recently longlisted for a Grierson Award.

In 2025 he produced ‘Dreaming of You :The Making of the Coral, in partnership with Sony Vision. He went on to self distribute both films into over 80 Cinemas in the UK and negotiated an acquisition deal with Sky to pick up the film ‘Harder than the Rock’ on a 5 year term.

He has a Bachelor of Arts from Leeds Met and a fellowship from the Institution of Digital Innovation at Teesside University.
